We are nearing the 50th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) victory in China’s civil war. In spite of some disastrous policies and unpopular political campaigns initiated in the 1950s and 1960s, the CCP still maintains legitimacy and power (if not popularity) today. In the first part of your essay begin by identifying and describing the two most egregious campaigns led by the CCP, and their effects on China’s people. In the second part of your essay describe the political and economic strategies that the CCP has implemented since the Cultural Revolution to retain power. Finally, summarize briefly how the CCP retains legitimacy today (in other words, what fundamental goal is the CCP delivering on for the people of China)?

there was a major problem/issue/neglect/stupidity on the first years if CCP (china as i’m not form US)
in one year they called it farm year ..or so..what it meant was that everyone was to farm and help make a loooot of food..of course in a state u dont need only to make food..
the mistake was the next year when they proclamed the iron year..and everyone got all their iron things from home ..were melt in factories etc…and all ,or almost all was in iron industry..but of course the previous year they hadnt produced the quota they said they produced so famine was all over country…there are the 2 bla bla..hope it helped :D

from the truth?

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is effectively turning over questions about her record as Alaska’s governor to John McCain’s political campaign, part of an ambitious Republican strategy to limit any embarrassing disclosures and carefully shape her image for voters in the rest of the country. (09/17/08)

Her fate was sealed the second McCan’t nominated a person he’d met ONE TIME.
Her nomination was a brilliant political strategic move, engineered by Karl Rove.

Let me let you in on something – this horrific religious extremist was nominated with the full knowledge that the average American simply would not be able to stomach her.

The Republican Party is intentionally throwing the election – they WANT the Democrats to take the White House. So that they can THEN "blame them" for every single rotten thing that we are going to see bloom from eight years of stupid, stupid, STUPID bush policy.

This economic meltdown we’re tasting right now is just the tip of the iceberg.

a sign of desperation? Or both?

Seriously, there are a lot more poor people than rich people So will his call for higher taxes on the rich help his re-election chances?

And what other groups are in the majority that politicians could try to attract?

It depends on his definition of rich. Although they are not rich in most cases, since it is a gross figure currently $250,000 is rich. When he determines $75,000 is rich, attitudes will change.

I just read this and found it interesting:

"Cindy who is 18 years younger than Gramps McCain and she paid for McCain’s first campaign for Congress in 1982 with loans from her well-endowed trust fund.

Her father’s business and political contacts helped gain her husband a foothold into Arizona politics.

I wonder how much of her trust fund that she used and how the political strategy worked to get McCain into Arizona politics?

Real answers please and I’m not interested in Obama.

unfortunately Cindy has made it clear. When the candidates were asked to release their tax forms she said thanks but there is nothing you can do to make me. She later released a summary with things on it like $500,000 from some small investment. Yes it was that vague.

She also stated, I am not running for President and whatever John does is his business and what I do is mine! That pretty much ends conversation or research on her! Let’s focus on those who are running.

I am from the Midwest. What would be a better political strategy? Trying to get the opinion of the general public, or hitting up local churches for support? Or a lesser/weaker form of both (split)?

"Let’s shake up the Status Quo!"

The answer is E.

This has been coming up a lot in the mainstream media’s coverage of the US Presidential Election campaign. I’m wondering if this is a political strategy or if this is just a cliched corporate job interview question ported to the political arena.

It’s some kind of either Zen Buddhist or Art of War cliche’

I remember being taught that way way back when I took Kung Fu

what are the political campaign strategies and lobbying techniques? thanks!

This is way too extensive a topic to be covered here. Google both and you will get a bunch of websites you can read to research it.

How would a system of direct election of the president affect the political campaigning strategy of the presidential campaigns?

Which groups benefit and which are hurt by the Electoral College system?

Answer whichever ones you want. Thanks for your contributions.

Without an electoral college large urban centers would benefit and rural states and regions would suffer. This would most likely benefit minorities and liberals as they tend to be found in greater numbers in big cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Republican candidates would have to modify their campaigning strategy to appeal to these types of voters. They could no longer rely on southern and midwestern states to carry them to the White House.

This article brings up an interesting point. What do you think?
Plumberrock: I am a Republican and I am having serious doubts about his agenda on this one.
Gardenerforgod: I have been watching things on TV and I would agree that this is a very serious situation. Somehow I believe that the election of a new President is a very serious situation as well. John McCain has missed 412 votes out of 643 in the senate. So now he suddenly cares?
As far as he is concerned at this point their is not much he can do. As President he could do much more. Regardless of anything this will still be an issue on November 4th and when the new President is sworn into office in January.

Absolutely it was a political ploy. Palin flubbed her second consecutive interview, and he’s going to get his a** handed to him in the debates by someone who is far smarter and more eloquent. He knows there’s only so many questions he can dodge by recounting his P.O.W. days before people catch wise to the strategy. He’s trying to shore up some ammo so that after his campaign manager is done mopping him off the floor, he can put out some snarky political attack ad against Obama for not caring enough about the economy and about the American people, even though right now it’s such a dire non-political issue. It’s just more McCain whining. When it’s not sexism, its ageism, or anti-patriotism, or media bias, or those ridiculous community organizers. Life’s just not fair for rich old white guys and their unqualified to run a Dairy Queen MILF sidekicks. Sorry McCain folks, you’ve got the misfortune of having an angry, unstable ex-POW on your ticket, who has admitted that "The Issue Of Economics Is Not Something I’ve Understood As Well As I Should." and then, wouldn’t you know it, the economy blew up right before the election. He’s bowing out of an economics debate because he knows he’s ill equipped to craft a coherent argument, and because he’s been part of the problem in Washington for such a long, long time.
