I just read this and found it interesting:
"Cindy who is 18 years younger than Gramps McCain and she paid for McCain’s first campaign for Congress in 1982 with loans from her well-endowed trust fund.
Her father’s business and political contacts helped gain her husband a foothold into Arizona politics.
I wonder how much of her trust fund that she used and how the political strategy worked to get McCain into Arizona politics?
Real answers please and I’m not interested in Obama.
unfortunately Cindy has made it clear. When the candidates were asked to release their tax forms she said thanks but there is nothing you can do to make me. She later released a summary with things on it like $500,000 from some small investment. Yes it was that vague.
She also stated, I am not running for President and whatever John does is his business and what I do is mine! That pretty much ends conversation or research on her! Let’s focus on those who are running.
today, the same PM is blamed to be responsible of Raja case. It is all political issue. But being a citizen we have the right to know what is going on.
That’s one rare good question. last 10 months , no movements so dunno whether he should be blamed or praised.
INC took up the CAUSE post-2004 towing the "feel good feeling" line of late BJPian Mahajan. When stocks failed ….corporates declare low profits…so low growth…. they lower interest rates…. players again had easy gamble …stocks up, profits up, growth up.
what an economy!
1)
*Push for stricter gun control, or ban.
*Push for the legalization of drugs like marijuana, MDMA, and psychedelics.
*Drug dealers should have more lenient penalties if they are arrested.
*It is unethical to force prisoners to work since most of them are not Caucasian it would be racial profiling and it is no better than slavery.
*The government should pay for the abortions of women making a low income.
*Open up our borders to our neighbors.
*Higher welfare checks and unemployment checks for the people who need it, the economy is still in recession.
*Make immigration easier for foreigners’ over-seas, we are all the sons and daughters of immigrants.
*Homosexuals should be given the right to marry each other and receive all the same treatment and benefits as people married to the opposite sex. People should respect the sanctity of homosexual marriage.
*The government should pay for the abortions of women receiving low income.
2)
>Encourage gun ownership of mentally sound and law abiding citizens.
>Encourage the responsible use of drugs only if a licensed medical doctor states that you actually require them.
>Strict standards on how gang members and drug dealers should be punished by the judicial system.
>We should make room in the prisons by reestablishing “serving of the head” and public executions in combination with a quicker judicial procession.
>The guidelines for capital punishment (serving of the head in public) should be close to the following; anyone on death row, who has back to back life sentences, or who welcomes the death penalty and has life w/o the possibility of parole.
>Child molesters should also be given the chance to contribute something to society by offering themselves up for public execution.
>Respect the sacred bond of marriage between Husband and Wife. That is the man is the Husband and the woman is the wife.
>Better security on our borders and at our ports.
>The government should require men to have vasectomies if they father two illegitimate children while refusing to pay child support. Women on welfare should be forced to take a DEPO/or birth control of some kind after they give birth to a child for the second time in the welfare system, or file a religious complaint signed by the pastor/priest of their faith. The population of the world is estimated at 8 billion in 2013.
>Fight our enemies on their soil when possible, or when strategy calls for it (less US civilian casualties).
>Make ad nauseam and other methods of propaganda illegal in the media and try to correct some of our social dysfunctions to make the quality of life better for the family, and help individuals help themselves and be less dependent on the government, thus creating a stronger and more unified nation.

2011 is here and we are worse off then ever! Thanks to the Policy #1 Types.
2011 is here and we may survive and someday grow again in Strength and Morality with our Thanks to the Policy #2 types of thinking and action.
It’s recently been revealed that the U.S. government contracted HBGary Federal for the development of software which could create multiple fake social media profiles to manipulate and sway public opinion on controversial issues by promoting propaganda.

Just behind F/B I think.
I am from the Midwest. What would be a better political strategy? Trying to get the opinion of the general public, or hitting up local churches for support? Or a lesser/weaker form of both (split)?
"Let’s shake up the Status Quo!"
STANAG. Oh how I love STANAG. STANAG in the morning, STANAG at night. Heck, I’d marry STANAG, but here in California we’re still working on marriage between a man and another man. I doubt I’d get far with a man and a magazine.
In all seriousness though (and I’ll stop now before I set off any political landmines), standardized magazines are a great idea. It’s a fiendish (although smart) marketing strategy to sell you a rifle and then turn around and push $40 or $50 magazines on you. Some companies like Kel-Tec are a bit nicer, but on the whole STANAG is limited to AR-15s.
I’ve been in the market for a nice .223 bolt action rifle, and I was wondering if any company makes ones that are STANAG compatible. I know of the Armalon effort, but it’s not a complete solution. I’d definitely be willing to pay an extra $100 to $150 for such a rifle, because I figure that’s how much I’d save from reusing my current 10-round STANAG magazines.
Heck, we managed to find a double barreled pump shotgun here. Please find my magical STANAG bolt gun?
I have not seen a bolt action rifle that takes AR-15 magazines, however the Remington 7615 is a pump action .223 rifle that takes AR magazines.

One of two things must be true. Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway because they somehow benefit.
I submit to you they understand the consequences. For many it is simply a practical matter of eliciting votes from a targeted constituency at taxpayer expense; we lose a little, they gain a lot, and the politician keeps his job. But for others, the goal is more malevolent – the failure is deliberate. Don’t laugh. This method not only has its proponents, it has a name: the Cloward-Piven Strategy. It describes their agenda, tactics, and long-term strategy.
The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. David Horowitz summarizes it as:
The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.
Cloward and Piven were inspired by radical organizer [and Hillary Clinton mentor] Saul Alinsky:
"Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules," Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system’s failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one. (Courtesy Discover the Networks.org)
Newsmax rounds out the picture:
Their strategy to create political, financial, and social chaos that would result in revolution blended Alinsky concepts with their more aggressive efforts at bringing about a change in U.S. government. To achieve their revolutionary change, Cloward and Piven sought to use a cadre of aggressive organizers assisted by friendly news media to force a re-distribution of the nation’s wealth.
In their Nation article, Cloward and Piven were specific about the kind of "crisis" they were trying to create:
By crisis, we mean a publicly visible disruption in some institutional sphere. Crisis can occur spontaneously (e.g., riots) or as the intended result of tactics of demonstration and protest which either generate institutional disruption or bring unrecognized disruption to public attention.
No matter where the strategy is implemented, it shares the following features:
1.The offensive organizes previously unorganized groups eligible for government benefits but not currently receiving all they can.
2.The offensive seeks to identify new beneficiaries and/or create new benefits.
3.The overarching aim is always to impose new stresses on target systems, with the ultimate goal of forcing their collapse.
Capitalizing on the racial unrest of the 1960s, Cloward and Piven saw the welfare system as their first target. They enlisted radical black activist George Wiley, who created the National Welfare Reform Organization (NWRO) to implement the strategy. Wiley hired militant foot soldiers to storm welfare offices around the country, violently demanding their "rights." According to a City Journal article by Sol Stern, welfare rolls increased from 4.3 million to 10.8 million by the mid-1970s as a result, and in New York City, where the strategy had been particularly successful, "one person was on the welfare rolls… for every two working in the city’s private economy."
According to another City Journal article titled "Compassion Gone Mad":
The movement’s impact on New York City was jolting: welfare caseloads, already climbing 12 percent a year in the early sixties, rose by 50 percent during Lindsay’s first two years; spending doubled… The city had 150,000 welfare cases in 1960; a decade later it had 1.5 million.
The vast expansion of welfare in New York City that came of the NWRO’s Cloward-Piven tactics sent the city into bankruptcy in 1975. Rudy Giuliani cited Cloward and Piven by name as being responsible for "an effort at economic sabotage." He also credited Cloward-Piven with changing the cultural attitude toward welfare from that of a temporary expedient to a lifetime entitlement, an attitude which in-and-of-itself has caused perhaps the greatest damage of all.

The unemployed have had to learn to be parasites out of necessity in order to survive, of course, and i fully have complete sympathy for all who are unemployed not out of choice. My heart does go out to you,.
The purpose of overtaxing is to drive businessman to develop their companies in India. Then they need staffs to train Indian etc. That can jobs many jobs.
So I’m 17, and I love reading. I discovered fanfiction a few years ago, and have been reading it since. Two months ago, I came across some articles saying fanfiction was illegal. I understand the copyright issues, but after some research, and many questions here on yahoo answers, I am coming to ask for a final opinion. Is reading mature content illegal? What about Harry Potter "underage" content? I’m not talking children, I’m talking kids my age, 16 or 17 years old.
Now for the question about social media. I have a friend on facebook that writes in their statuses "getting high" or "smoking and watching p$3n.". Now, to my knowledge, both of these things are illegal in my state. Is there any monitoring by the government or websites in general to help kids with these issues? I mean the person is younger than me and clearly needs help. :/
Oh yes, and I researched and reading sexual content is not illegal in my state, but watching it and illustrating it is. Also, to my knowledge it is protected under the first amendment.
All help is appreciated!
And I’ve been worrying about it so much because I have anxiety issues and I just need a final answer. Thank you so much for helping! (:
You have an interesting question. Reading "mature" content is not illegal. Knowingly providing pornography to someone under 18 is. So the minor watching porn is the "victim," not the suspect.
As for agencies watching social media, the short answer is "kinda." Law enforcement does use social media to catch child predators, etc., and larger agencies do interact with social media for this purpose. However, posting "I’m getting high" is not going to get anyone’s attention; in the grander scheme of things, the cops have bigger fish to fry.
The best thing for you to do, is to be a friend. You recognize that this person needs help, so be there to help. Keep in mind, if they don’t want it/think they don’t need it, you may not get far. I also hope you are getting help for your anxiety issues.
Create a product or service (do not choose an existing brand) OR select a product or service from the following list: cell phone, video game, motorcycle, perfume, hair salon, toothpaste, website design consulting business, online dating service, auto body shop.
1. Using the course resources, develop an environmental analysis, marketing strategy, and marketing mix for this product.
2. Consider if your selected product is affected by environmental factors (Political, Economic, Socio-cultural, Technological, Competitive). If so, how?
3. Include a description of the target market and positioning (how customers perceive your product or service).
Include a detailed overview of each element of the marketing mix (product, price, distribution, and marketing communications).
I dont even know what environmental analysis, marketing strategy, and marketing mix mean.
Please help. Thank you
I do school online and I dont have any textbooks.
"LOL"… well, if this is a course assignment I would suspect you could find the definitions in your textbook however, knowing what my marketing course was like it was easier to type in the phrase into the search engine (Yahoo or Google or both) and see what comes up.
My interpretation is that after you have selected your product or service they are asking you take a look at the area where you will market it (analyze the environment ~what would influence buying decision ~ would you do a survey to see if it would be factors like these: male/female, age of customer, rural area or town/city..ocean side or desert … well populated or sparsely populated… rich or poor or doing ok… people’s cultures or what else?) and decide the best strategy to market it (take a look at who the customer would be, what is the acceptable but creative way to market to them to get best results) and the mediums (marketing mix) you will use to market it … print material (magazines, newspapers), tv or radio ads, billboards, sandwich board walkers, online, handouts, novelty ideas (mouse pads, milk cartons ads) and many more!
# 2 & #3 will likely be answered along the way but keep them in mind as you work on #1.
>Encourage gun ownership of mentally sound and law abiding citizens. Vigilantism is called for on occasion, and should even be required by citizens in certain situations.
>Encourage the responsible use of drugs only if a licensed medical doctor states that you actually require them.
>Strict standards on how gang members and drug dealers should be punished by the judicial system. Not leniently.
>We should make room in the prisons by reestablishing “serving of the head” in public executions in combination with a quicker judicial procession.
>Better security on our borders and ports.
>Fight our enemies on their soil when possible, or when strategy calls for it (less collateral damage less US civilian casualties).
>Make ad nauseam and other methods
of propaganda illegal in the media and try to correct some of our social dysfunctions to make the quality of life better for the family, and help individuals help themselves and be less dependent on the government, thus creating a stronger and more unified nation.
>We should render aide to countries like Libya, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran to help their people gain freedom and individual liberties by throwing out the tyrants like Gadhafi and Ahmendenijad with their brutal regimes.
>Become more focused on the family and all of its immediate members and less dependent on social cliques, thus creating less of a “load” on your personal and our nation’s public transportation issues. There is a host of other positive side effects of this paradigm.
>Stop putting such and emphasis on "minorities" and maybe we would see some "change" for once.

DETERRENCE
All prospects of a negative outcome deter some. It is a truism. The death penalty, the most severe of criminal sanctions, is the least likely of all criminal sanctions to violate that truism.
